Dr Edmund Wee

Dr Edmund Wee is a consultant dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists with Singaporean origins.
Dr Wee completed his medical degree with honours at Melbourne University. He undertook internship at St Vincent’s Health and gained several years of experience in general medicine prior to embarking on dermatology training.
He subsequently completed dermatology specialist training in Victoria, working in several hospitals and healthcare networks including St Vincent’s Health, Monash Health, The Alfred Hospital, Western Health, The Royal Children’s Hospital and The Royal Melbourne Hospital. At the conclusion of his training, he was also awarded the prestigious Harvey Rotstein award in recognition of his collegiality, integrity and dedication to patient care.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Wee also holds consultant dermatologist appointments at Monash Health and The Royal Melbourne Hospital where he attends general dermatology clinics.
Dr. Wee has completed a Masters of Philosophy researching the anatomic distribution of Melanoma at the Victorian Melanoma Service, and was awarded the F & E Bauer Foundation Prize for best research paper at the Australasian Dermatology Annual Scientific Meeting for his work in this area. His research on melanoma has been published in both local and international journals.
His other contributions to the medical literature include publications on non-melanoma skin cancers and inflammatory skin conditions. He is also a scientific reviewer for several dermatology research journals.
Dr. Wee has a wide range of interests within dermatology including skin cancer management, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, hair disorders and excessive sweating. He sees and treats children and adults and looks forward to caring for the richly diverse population at Chroma Dermatology.
