Dermatologists in Melbourne – Reflections 2020

The year has presented many changes and challenges. Despite the uncertainties, personal challenges and new ways of working and caring for patients, our team have consistently worked with passion and commitment with the ultimate goal of continuing to provide the highest level of dermatology care and expertise for our patients. We have supported each other and acknowledged the testing times, but we have also looked for the silver lining on this COVID cloud.

This year, we embraced virtual consultations, helped teach medical colleagues and dermatologists, published our research in scientific dermatology journals and, despite travel restrictions, we have continued to support local dermatology education and training. We are also proud to have continued our collaboration and support of outreach dermatology programs in rural north India and the Pacific Islands which will lead to sustainable improvements in access to dermatology services in these regions. We are excited about 2021 and beyond and have no doubt that what we have been through this year will positively influence us personally and professionally for years to come.

We remain forever grateful to our supportive partners and patient community. Without your trust and support, we would not be able to research, educate and help those beyond our borders. So, thank YOU. We look forward to journeying with you as we make our way through 2021.
